Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Indian Institute of Neuro Mind (IINM), we are committed to providing structured, high-quality educational and training programs to our students.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains the circumstances under which fees paid to IINM may or may not be refunded.

By booking a slot, registering for a program, paying admission fees, or enrolling in an IINM course, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.

1. Types of Fees

For the purpose of this policy, payments made to IINM may include:

  1. Slot Booking Fee

  2. Admission Fee

  3. Course / Program Fee

  4. Other applicable fees or charges

Different refund conditions apply to each category.

2. Slot Booking Fee — Strictly Non-Refundable

The Slot Booking Fee is strictly non-refundable.

Once a student books a seat or slot for an IINM course, program, batch, workshop or training session, the Slot Booking Fee will not be refunded under any circumstances initiated by the student.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Change of mind after booking.

  • Personal reasons.

  • Change in career plans.

  • Change in schedule.

  • Inability to attend.

  • Failure to join the batch.

  • Failure to attend classes.

  • Failure to complete the admission process.

  • Change of course preference.

  • Change of location.

  • Any other personal or individual reason.

The Slot Booking Fee is paid to reserve and secure the student's place in a particular batch or program and is therefore non-refundable.

Important

Slot Booking Fee and Admission Fee are separate charges.

Payment of a Slot Booking Fee does not automatically make the Slot Booking Fee refundable merely because the student subsequently decides not to attend the program.

3. Admission Fee — Refundable Subject to Conditions

The Admission Fee may be refundable, subject to the conditions described below.

A student may request a refund of the Admission Fee only if the student has not attended any class, session, lecture, workshop or academic activity of the relevant program.

Eligibility for Admission Fee Refund

To be eligible:

  • The student must not have attended any class.

  • The student must not have participated in any live academic session.

  • The student must not have attended any workshop or practical session.

  • The student must not have accessed or consumed any restricted course content where such access constitutes course participation.

  • The refund request must be submitted within the applicable period communicated by IINM.

If the student has attended even one class or academic session, the Admission Fee may become non-refundable, subject to applicable law and the specific terms communicated for the program.

4. Attendance and Course Participation

For the purpose of determining refund eligibility, participation may include:

  • Attending a live class.

  • Joining an online class.

  • Attending a physical classroom session.

  • Participating in a workshop.

  • Participating in a practical or laboratory session.

  • Participating in an assessment or academic activity.

  • Accessing restricted course content where such access is treated as course commencement.

Accordingly, students should carefully consider their decision before attending their first class if they are uncertain about continuing with the program.

5. Refund Where IINM Does Not Conduct the Class

If a scheduled class or academic session cannot be conducted due to a failure attributable to IINM or the assigned IINM faculty, IINM will make reasonable efforts to:

  1. Reschedule the affected class or session; or

  2. Provide an equivalent replacement session; or

  3. Provide an appropriate alternative arrangement.

If IINM is unable to provide the affected class/session or an equivalent replacement and the applicable refund conditions are satisfied, the proportionate amount relating to the undelivered portion of the program may be refunded.

The refund, where applicable, will be calculated based on the portion of the Services that IINM has failed to deliver.

6. Faculty Absence or IINM-Side Cancellation

If a class is cancelled because of:

  • Faculty unavailability.

  • Faculty absence.

  • IINM scheduling issues.

  • IINM operational issues.

  • Failure by IINM to provide the scheduled academic session.

IINM will first attempt to provide a make-up class, replacement faculty or rescheduled session.

A cancellation or rescheduling of an individual class does not automatically entitle the student to a full course refund.

Where IINM ultimately fails to deliver the applicable paid educational service and no reasonable replacement or rescheduled session is provided, an appropriate refund may be considered for the undelivered portion.

7. Student Absence

A student's failure to attend a scheduled class does not automatically create a right to a refund.

Refunds will generally not be provided merely because a student:

  • Did not attend a scheduled class.

  • Was unavailable on the scheduled date.

  • Had personal commitments.

  • Had travel plans.

  • Had work or college commitments.

  • Had technical difficulties on the student's side.

  • Forgot the class schedule.

  • Failed to join the class on time.

Where IINM provides recorded sessions, make-up sessions or other reasonable alternatives, the student may use those alternatives according to the applicable course structure.

8. Student-Initiated Cancellation After Attending a Class

Once a student has attended a class or commenced participation in the program, the student is generally not eligible for a refund of the Admission Fee.

Any refund of other course or program fees after commencement shall be subject to:

  • The specific course refund terms.

  • The amount of Services already delivered.

  • Course access already provided.

  • Applicable administrative costs.

  • Any other conditions communicated during enrolment.

IINM may deduct the value of Services already provided before calculating any applicable refund.

9. Course / Program Fee Refund

Where a student has paid a Course or Program Fee in addition to the Slot Booking Fee and Admission Fee, any refund of the remaining amount will be determined based on:

  • Whether the student has commenced the course.

  • The number of classes or Services already delivered.

  • Course content already made available.

  • Whether the student has received any educational materials.

  • The applicable course-specific refund terms.

  • Any non-refundable charges applicable to the enrolment.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, payment of the full course fee does not make every component of the payment automatically refundable.

10. Non-Refundable Components

The following may be non-refundable where applicable:

  • Slot Booking Fee.

  • Administrative charges.

  • Payment gateway or transaction charges, where applicable.

  • Services already delivered.

  • Course materials already provided.

  • Other charges specifically identified as non-refundable at the time of purchase.

Where a particular fee is expressly identified as non-refundable during enrolment, that condition will apply subject to applicable law.

11. Promotional and Discounted Enrolments

Courses or programs purchased under:

  • Promotional offers.

  • Limited-time offers.

  • Special discounts.

  • Scholarships.

  • Early-bird pricing.

  • Referral offers.

  • Corporate or institutional pricing.

  • Special negotiated pricing.

may be subject to specific refund conditions.

Where separate refund terms are communicated for such an offer, those terms shall apply to the relevant transaction.

12. Transfer to Another Batch

Where a student is unable to continue with the originally selected batch, IINM may, at its discretion, allow the student to request a transfer to another available batch.

Batch transfer:

  • Is not guaranteed.

  • Is subject to availability.

  • May be subject to applicable conditions.

  • Does not convert a non-refundable fee into a refundable fee.

  • May require the student to comply with the curriculum and schedule of the new batch.

A batch transfer is not equivalent to a refund.

13. Refund Request Process

Students seeking an eligible refund must submit a formal refund request to IINM through the official contact channel.

The request should include:

  • Student's full name.

  • Registered mobile number.

  • Registered email address.

  • Course/program name.

  • Batch details.

  • Payment/transaction reference.

  • Date of payment.

  • Reason for the refund request.

  • Relevant supporting information, where applicable.

IINM may request additional information or documents to verify the request.

14. Refund Verification

All refund requests are subject to verification.

IINM may verify:

  • Enrolment status.

  • Payment records.

  • Class attendance.

  • Course access records.

  • Session participation.

  • Course commencement date.

  • Services already delivered.

  • Applicable refund terms.

A refund will be processed only after IINM determines that the request satisfies the applicable refund conditions.

15. Refund Processing

Where a refund is approved, IINM will generally process the eligible refund through the original payment method or another appropriate method determined by IINM.

The actual time required for the amount to appear in the student's bank account or payment account may depend on the payment gateway, bank or financial institution.

IINM shall not be responsible for delays caused solely by a bank, payment gateway or other third-party payment provider.

16. No Automatic Refund

Submitting a refund request does not mean that the refund has been approved.

Every refund request will be reviewed according to:

  • This Refund & Cancellation Policy.

  • The student's payment records.

  • Attendance and course participation records.

  • The specific course terms.

  • Applicable law.

IINM reserves the right to reject refund requests that do not satisfy the applicable eligibility conditions.

17. IINM's Responsibility

IINM is committed to delivering the educational Services described at the time of enrolment.

If IINM is unable to deliver a paid course or a material portion of the promised educational Services and cannot provide a reasonable replacement, rescheduling or alternative arrangement, IINM will evaluate an appropriate refund for the undelivered portion, subject to the applicable circumstances and law.

18. Student's Responsibility

Before making payment, students are responsible for reviewing:

  • Course curriculum.

  • Course duration.

  • Class schedule.

  • Delivery method.

  • Eligibility requirements.

  • Fees.

  • Refund conditions.

  • Course requirements.

By completing payment, the student confirms that they have had an opportunity to review the applicable information.

19. Exceptions Required by Law

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy is intended to exclude or restrict any refund, cancellation or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded under applicable Indian law.

Where mandatory legal requirements apply, IINM will comply with those requirements.

20. Changes to This Policy

IINM may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in its courses, Services, business practices or applicable laws.

The updated policy will be published on the IINM website with the revised “Last Updated” date.

The policy applicable to a transaction will generally be the policy communicated or applicable at the time of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
